    Fun crew, nice boat.

My company runs flotilla trips for our large group of sailors. We were trying something new. Booking process: Alice was nice and professional. Soon as we had the deposit in, she handed us over to Goolets. In the future I would probably book directly. Less middle people can have advantages. Though I don't think the price would have been different. The only bump at Goolets was when we paid our balance and our rep refused to send us anykind of payment confirmation saying, as I recall, 'In 20 years of doing this, I've never been asked for a payment confirmation'. I sent him examples from the charter companies we are brokers for. The Yacht: It was clean, the food was good and the crew was great. We went to some amazing places. My group was a sailing group but I had warned them this was not a sailing trip. Still, it was infered that we would be allowed to get the sails out now and then. A couple times there were amazing downwind conditions that would have been great but we were denied the sailing opportunity. I was told 'tomorrow' twice. It never happened. Our crew was great in every way but I think very uncomfortable with the thought of pulling the two tiny sails out. Note that if you are finishing in Dubrovnik (the most amazing castle village in the world), the boat parks a little ways north of the Dubrovnik area. Same with departing Trogir, they won't pick you up at the wharf on the island. But the experience was amazing. Croatia is perfect for these Gulets. Like our Greece trips, there's no wind anyway, might as well be cruising it on a fake sailboat (a Gulet) ... with some luxury sprinkled in.
